[17/52] six six FIVE!:

recent ebay purchase - a pack of polaroid 665 film expired november 2001. it’s currently in the fridge awaiting a special occasion or something.

665’s “party piece” is that, after taking a photo and peeling the print away from the negative, the latter is very much useable. this film, along with its 4×5 cousin, polaroid 55, are probably the B&W films most missed in regards to polaroid’s discontinuation of instant film in 2008. (colour-wise, i would say 669 (because of its unique colour palette) and original sx-70 and time zero (discontinued in 2006) are mourned the most.) i don’t know if the impossible project will ever come through with something similar (most of its focus is on integral film (600/sx-70/spectra)); but if they ever do…i’m sure there will be much rejoicing in the pola ranks.

sx-70 sonar + fade to black (now available at polapremium.com). to stop the photo from fading i employed “the dry technique”. however, instead of putting the pola back together, i opted to separate them.
